Our Philosophy
When it comes to effective liability case management, there are no “cookie cutter” standards. Each case is unique and demands a flexible, creative approach that covers a range of concerns, such as assessing the nature and extent of the injury, reducing the overall cost of the claim, reaching an early settlement, and supporting the legal defense against the claim. Future Care can help you meet all these challenges with the following services:
- Medical Case Mgmt
- MD Consulting Svcs
- Medical Records Analysis
- Vocational Expert Svcs
- Life Care Planning
- Vocational Case Mgmt
Future Care's Case Managers are a valuable resource to all parties involved, whether it's a first or third party claim. By critically evaluating medical treatments and identifying cost-effective alternative treatments, case managers can facilitate quality care for an injured claimant. Their research abilities also can help prepare you for depositions, hearings, and trials. Acting as an advocate, Future Care's Case Managers can help to build a cooperative relationship among all parties involved in a claim - and move a case to a satisfactory resolution.
About Us
Future Care's Maritime Cost Containment Services
In the rapidly changing maritime industry, one thing remains certain: the rising costs of Maintenance and Cure, Jones Act and Longshore Liability. Medical expenses and damages associated with a single claim can escalate out of sight. In fact, the skyrocketing costs of personal injury claims in the U.S. contribute to the $132 billion spent in tort litigation every year.
Future Care offers a full range of services specifically geared to help you keep liability costs under control. Our aggressive cost containment strategies, our expertise in the medical and vocational aspects of liability, and our flexibility in serving each client's unique concerns, have earned us the reputation for being “TOUGH ON COSTS, UNCOMPROMISING ON CARE.”

Future Care's executive management team is led by Christina DeSimone, President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. DeSimone has a track record of 30 years industry experience, complimenting the company's goal of building an integrated medical solution for the Maritime Industry's high cost of claims. Ms. DeSimone originally built USA Audit, USA Exams, and DeSimone Rehabilitation Services in 1978. She pioneered and developed the original Managed Care solutions that have evolved into the current industry's Medical Cost Containment techniques. Her companies were bought by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a healthcare investment banking firm, as part of a roll-up acquisition that was merged into Concentra Health Care. Concentra is a one billion dollar company that is planning on going public next May. Ms. DeSimone's non-compete expired on February 1, 1999, and she subsequently opened the doors of Future Care.
Ms. DeSimone's main focus with Future Care, has been to introduce her Managed Care techniques to the Maritime Industry, as the Federal Jones Act Laws in the United States does not protect Shipowner's from uncapped Personal Injury Liability Claims. The plaintiff attorneys in the United States, along with a small portion of medical providers, have been working together to escalate medical damages related to accident claims subsequent to Auto and Workers Compensation accidents, but our state laws limit liability lawsuits and Managed Care has evolved in this industry and is utilized, in some way, to control every accident claim. Federal Jones Act does not limit liability awards on Maritime claims and therefore it has become the last bastion for fraud and abuse and has had limited exposure to Managed Care techniques, due the industry's fractured locations. Future Care is focused on developing its reputation in the Maritime Industry on a Global Basis and to bring Managed Care techniques to Maritime Companies.
